in-school yoga classes

I provide in-school enrichment classes and after-school programs at public and private schools in San Francisco. My yoga classes are customized to fit the needs of the students and the staff. Depending on number of students and physical space, I will work with school staff to come up with a program that benefits everyone. A typical yoga class is creative and fun, stimulates imagination, and focuses on developing flexibility and conscious breathing. My approach combines yoga poses with songs, stories, games, and relaxation techniques.

“Since Jennifer began working with us, both teachers and parents have noticed how her class is excitedly anticipated and thoroughly enjoyed by our children. Within the school we have also observed the positive impact her class has on the children’s self-confidence and sense of well-being. Jennifer’s experience, maturity and infectious positive attitude qualify her as an exceptional addition to any program interested in integrating children’s yoga instruction.”
– Jenny, Director, Hearts & Minds Pre-K

Whether it's ringing the chimes, creating names and explanations for poses that make the children laugh and participate or relaxing them into shavasana with foot rubs and lavender eye pillows, Jen always creates a class for my preschool that's fun and helps center their minds, bodies and spirits. At the end of the year each child has the skill set and confidence to demonstrate a pose of their choice up on stage at our school graduation because of the amazing teacher Jen is!”
